Enjoy a guided bird walk, fascinating talks on swifts and garden birds, information stalls, and a live bird-ringing demo! Everyone is welcome – from keen birders to the bird-curious. Wrap up warm, bring your binoculars, and celebrate Sheffield’s amazing birdlife! Event details are here.

Swift population. Alasdair will look at some of the reasons for this decline and measures being taken to restore a
healthy population of this charismatic summer visitor.

Come and meet Totley Swift Group who have been surveying our big colony of swifts here for 5 years. We have found around 50-60 nest sites on the Laverdene estate – the swifts love it and so do we!
